There are many different ways you can get these amazing waves. You could take a curling iron and curl the ends of your hair in alternating directions, or you could use a flat iron to do it. At the end of this post, I will give instructions on how to get them both ways!
Be sure to use a curling iron with at least a 1-inch barrel. This size is perfect for the look we are going for since it will give our hair some good volume. Curl your hair starting from the bottom of your hair and work your way up to the top. When you get to the top sections curl them away from your face (the sides of the waves should be facing out). Then, do another layer on top of that one, working your way down again and curling away from your face. Do this until there's no more hair left on each section!
If you want smaller deep waves, then this method would be ideal for you. You will want to use the same 1-inch barrel on the flat iron. Once you get your hair parted into sections, take each section one at a time and place it between the plates of the flat iron (the plates should be closed around the hair while doing this). Hold for about 20 seconds (although some may require more, while others less). Be sure not to hold still while you do this; slowly move your hand away from your face or in circles.
